K. W. Heese was born on 8 September 1910 in Paarl, where he grew up and matriculated from the Paarl Gymnasium.
He was a minister of the Dutch Reformed Church and later Professor of
Psychology at the University of Western Cape.
Kallie Heese was married to the children's books writer, Hester Heese. They had 5 children.
K. W. Heese died in 1974. He was a brother of Johannes August Heese and Japie de Villiers Heese.
