Suzie van der Merwe was born on 30 April 1944 at Vryburg, Northern-Cape.
She attended school at Vryburg and studied at the Cape Technikon (NHOD), Unisa
(B.Com, B.Com (Hons.).
She taught commercial subjects at the J.G. Meiring and D.F. Malan High Schools,
lectured commercial subjects and Computer Practice at the Stellenbosch
Technical College (senior lecturer - 1978-1989). Since 1990 she has been
lecturing Enduser Computing at the Cape Technikon.
Suzie van der Merwe (together with co-author Christine du Toit) has written several computer books/manuals since 1987. These books are mainly
used for training at Colleges, Technikons, Universities and schools, or for
self-study projects. The emphasis is on practice-oriented computer training.
Rapid development in the computer field necessitates continuous revision of
manuals.
