Lecturer in Afrikaans-Nederlands at Stellenbosch University
Anna Sophia Snyman, née Theron, was born on 27 May 1941 on the farm Uitflug in
Tulbagh. She studied at Stellenbosch University, where she obtained a D Litt
(cum laude). She was a lecturer in Afrikaans-Nederlands at Stellenbosch
University and worked as senior assistant to Professor W. Kempen.
Annette was married to Dr. Henning Snyman. She died in a motor car accident
outside Stellenbosch on 19 September 1980. Her husband published her book
posthumously.
