Daniel Page was born on 11 August 1914 in Pietersburg, where he grew up and finished school. He studied at the universities of Pretoria, Witwatersrand and UNISA.
He was professor for Town planning at the University of Stellenbosch from 1967 - 1979 and also served as consultant for planning for the municipality of Stellenbosch and for the government.
