Walter Köppe

Author of a book on Stellenbosch (with Colleen Schwager-Köppe)

Born 1943 near Hannover/Germany. Study of Germanistik in Saarbrücken and Johannesburg. 1976 PhD German Literature (US). Senior Lecturer at the Department of German, Stellenbosch University and Editor of "Acta Germanica", Yearbook of the Association for German Studies in Southern Africa, until his early retirement in 2002. Various publications in academic journals on Medieval German Literature and the Enlightenment. - Freelance writer and translator. - Married to Colleen Schwager-Köppe.
